The video was from the vestibule area, where I observed the suspect selecting several groceries before leaving the store. I was then shown store surveillance video of the suspect by Loss Prevention Officer XXXX. The suspect then displayed a knife to XXXX, and left the store with the stolen groceries. The suspect was approached by a member of the overnight staff, XXXX. A few minutes later, the suspect returned and selected several groceries (chips and muffins) from the vestibule area. I learned the following information from XXXX:Īt around 10:20 pm on, a male came into the store and attempted to steal a bag of groceries (milk, candy bars, a couple of bake shop items, and several unknown items, estimated to be $50) XXXX confronted the suspect, and was able to retrieve the items. Upon arriving I met with Store manager XXXX. The following report is a summary of the events that I witnessed, as they pertain to incident #19025597:Īt approximately 6:00 pm I responded to Stop and Shop, located at 779 McGrath Highway, for a report of a shoplifter from the night prior, who was alleged to have pulled a knife on an employee. I believe when someone goes the extra mile to make sure your visit is good, they ought to be recognized somehow, and told what a great job they were doing. Same thing happened when we left, she thanked us for banking at Citizens and wished us both a great day. She was kind and helpful, always greets people with her smile and asks how their day is going. There aren't many people in todays world that have such a great personality and obvious love of their job and I hope that you appreciate having her work for you. This woman is always pleasant, no matter what kind of day she was having, always trying to help, or giving us suggestions that the bank offered. I just wanted to tell her boss what a great person she is, upbeat, professional, well groomed and has a fantastic smile. She then asked if there was anything else she could do to help us that day. We gave her the check and she deposited it into our account. She greeted us with a terrific smile, asked how our day was going and what could she do to help us. On Monday, March 13, 2017, My husband and I went to the Citizens branch at 1030 Park Avenue, Cranston RI, to deposit our income tax refund check. I have put in a formal complaint at the Better Business Bureau of Eastern Michigan and Detroit denouncing this discrimination and poor customer service. I was embarrassed and treated unfairly at this Bank. ![]() I was left on the line with my credit card company with no explanation as to why I was being refused this basic procedure. Then she returned and said this is not something she could do for me and that I needed to leave. She acted as if I was a nuisance and then proceeded to excuse herself saying she would need to speak with her boss. I called the credit card company and they explained everything to her on the phone. I told her the credit card company told me it was a simple procedure any bank could do, she just needed to confirm my ID was valid and that is was me over the phone on a recorded line. However, once I was in her office, she told me she had no idea what I was asking for. At first the teller told me I could be helped by the licensed banker on call.
